You didn't say how much acreage you have. You MIGHT find the Cub a bit under-powered. You'll LOVE the Mott mower. Does a nice job, doesn't destroy itself if you happen to hit an obstacle now and then. Just be prepared to replace knives a lot. The condition of the Cub sounds pretty typical, and none of the items you listed are particularly hard to fix if you have basic mechanical skills. The price seems a bit high, but Cub's are VERY popular, and the price reflects that. If you run across an A or a Super A, you might find that better suited to your needs, depending on the size of your property.
