I am painting our 706 with PPG Omni line single stage urethane paint. It is my first time with urethane, I've used CIH Iron guard enamel in the past and the urethane wins hands down even though it is about twice the money. The urethane is much more resistant to fading, dries harder (much more scratch resistant) and is glossier than the enamel. I used epoxy primer to seal off the old paint and form a good base for the new paint. On the sheet metal I used about 4 coats of a primer surfacer over the epoxy that I wet sanded with 400 grit paper to get a perfectly smooth surface for the paint to go on. It would probably cost about $250 for these materials to paint an M and do a good job. I think the PPG paint code for IH red is 71310 but I don't remember for sure. Check the link for my pictures.
