You can get a new 12 volt regulator at about any starter/generator shop, or at an auto supply store. You should be able to find one that looks close to original. Usually the ones mounted on the generators were cut out relays, not regulators. On most Ms, the regulator was mounted under the gas tank. On the MD the regulator was mounted at the front left up under the hood on the radiator bracket.
