I got a Super C running that had been setting w/o water in it for at least five years about two years ago. Had to pull the water pump & put seals in that, but didn't do anything with the sleeves. (BTW pulling water pump on WF Super C is a PAIN!) Still running, no water in oil or oil in water the last time I looked, about a month ago. It did have oil in the crank case, if you could call the black slippery gunk that came out of the pan oil. From my experience, I wouldn't worry about it. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
