Piston Sleeve Seals

I am restoring a "C". This tractor has set dry (no water or antifreeze) for an unknown number of years. Will I need to, or should I consider, replacing the seals at the bottom of the piston sleeves. I do not have the special puller, do I need it for this task? If anyone has done this I would appreciate hearing what is involved.
