I would hope you could save that barn, I know it's in pretty sad shape. We are slowing restoring one on my dads farm. Going to shingle it this year. It's a landmark, it gives character to the place. It's a big job to restore, and it takes a lot of time (if you're doiong it yourself it's about the cheapest way) A steel shed or pole barn are the economical, functional buildings for barn replacement, but not really a part of your farm's history. But that's just my opinion. I'm glad you didn't sell the farm.
