I turned 59 last week & have always had a love for tractors since growing up on a farm in the 50's & 60's. Went off to college 'cause Dad didn't have enough land to support two famlies. Taught school for a few years & now in the professional planning field, so don't farm. Bought an SC Case in the early 80's as my Brother-In-Law was looking for one for parts, but it was too good to part out. (My B-I-L farms w/old Cases-he's been a Case man all his life. I keep my tractors @ his place.) When Dad sold out in '86, my Brother (who doesn't farm either) & I bought the 2 H's that we grew up on. Since then, I've acquired another 2 H's (one is parts only), 2 more SC Case's, an IH Super C, a couple of loaders (one is for Super C) 1/2 of a DC Case, 1/2 of a VC Case (NOT a VAC) & some odds & ends of machinery to fit the above along w/a parts VC. Although B-I-L is a Case man, he's bought an H & SM in the past several years. He owns the other half of the VC & DC w/me. Between the 2 of us, we've got over 20 built before 1956. Old tractor fever is catching, as both my & his #1 sons have caught it too. Brother gave #1 son Dad's H that he originally purchased new so my GS could have it someday-he's only 3 but loves 'em already. (Then son bought an F-12 to work on, as H is in good condition.) My #2 & 3 sons are interested in what we are doing, but don't have the space for anything yet. BTW, thanks to Kim & all for such a great board! (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)

The Fordson F Ignition System - by Anthony West. A fellow restorer contacted me earlier this year asking for some help and advice on a model F that he was restoring. He had over a period of months spent a fair amount of his hard earned cash on replacement parts for the old "trembler" ignition. Sadly though all his efforts seemed to be a waste of time and money as he still couldn''t get the temperamental old thing to run correctly!! If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
