I'm 51, and was raised on a small farm. Dad farmed with a '49 JD B and a '53 IH Super W6. I also remember a JD H and a IH F-20, but they had been retired and traded off by the time I was big enough to be of any help.

I left the farm when I joined the Navy in 1969, and just sort of drifted into a Navy career. By the time I'd retired, Dad was gone and the farm had been sold. I live on a few acres in coastal Maine, and raise sheep and chickens.

I got my 1938 F14 as a basket case and spent a pile of money and a lot of very enjoyable time rebuilding it. The process of doing that was great stress management for an aggravating job, and still provides much enjoyment puttering around the place. I love equipment of any kind and have tinkered with a JD H spreader and an unidentified old disc harrow which are now usable, and have a couple of other bits I'm working on.

I'd do another tractor in a heartbeat, but finances and maintenance of marital bliss don't permit at the moment.
