You suggested that the Farmall A or Super A which ever it is would be 12 volt if its been changed to alternator. That is not necessarily correct. My Farmall Super A has, (and I know this to be correct because I installed it ) 6 volt alternator. It is a Delco with a built in regulator. You only have to change one wire within the Delco alternator to change from 12 to 6 volt. My Super A still has all its orginal lights and they all work. The only item I had to buy to make this change was the Delco alternator with built in regulator. The only changes I had to make on tractor was change battery to negative ground and change wires on amp meter. I will tell you that just as soon as my 130 (that has been changed to 12 volt) needs a new battery it will be 6 volt, alternator will be changed to 6 volt and the 6 volt coil will be put back on.
