c123 crank pulley

Couple of questions. After a good bit of coaxing, I got the crank pully off. I noticed there is a sleeve that fits inside the neck of the pully. This sleeve is keyed to match the crank shaft, that is obvious. However, how is the sleeve supposed to be oriented in the pully in order to keep the timing marks where they belong? There is a raised area, about the width of a key on the outside of the neck of the pully. Is this raised area supposed to align with the key notch in the sleeve? reason that I am wondering, is, that when I removed the thing, the notch in the sleeve was not aligned with this raised area, and the service book does not mention much except that this sleeve is replaced when the pully is removed. Other question is this...what is the thickness of the clutch plate supposed to be to where it needs to be replaced? thanks for the info. terryc
