Thanks for the tips, I have the block and head numbers listed below. The H is about 2 hours away at my hobby farm and I've got spring fever, plus some other projects, so I'll measure things up in next time I get there, unless I can do it the easy way by posting the numbers. I do have a couple of other questions for whoever's checking this out. The same H had Baaaaaaad Gas...in the tank, smells like turpentine, plus there was an inch of grey clay in the bottom of the tank, after rinsing with some acid, round rocks and assorted other methods it's not bad, but is there something to make it sparkle? Just picked up an f-20...it's stuck, a guy wants to give me a working condition/been stored 1969 IH503 combine...need to move it 300 miles, plus I'm still working on an f-12...piston won't come out without the sleeve, but I'll ask those questions later. Thanks, -Block #s: Flat smooth spot on mag side, top "middle" of motor = 34693ht. Numbers are also stamped on the block, mag side, top left too, they are 358261r1. and, the Head is 362533r1.

To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
