The original journal size for Cub according to my I&T manual is 1.498" to 1.499" and the clearance of the rod bearings should be .002" to .003" Main journal spec is 1.623" to 1.624" and the clearance of the mains should be .002" to .0035" Your rod diameter is .0015" too small. .002" bearings and some shimstock will put you back in spec. I would say that your oil pump is working fine, the bearing clearances are too great. Get some .002" undersize bearings and plastigauge them. Put some shims under the caps if need be, any good shop should have some shimstock you can buy in .0005" increments. HTH Steven
