Kevin: Your rob and main bearing clearance is way too much and way out of spec. Putting in the 0.002 oversize bearings will help the oil gage read higher, but it is only a band aid. If there is that much worn on those bearings, what about the cam, rings, etc? If you want to do it right, tear it all down, grind the crank, get the right bearings for it, do the rod bushings etc and, and the rings, check the cam, the head and you will have a 100% new engine you can rely on to run for another 50 years. I started the same exercise on a C-135 in my 340U, saw 0.005 on the main, pulled the pistons, and saw three skirts cracked them. My IH dealer took back the 0.002 oversize bearings with no questions, must have felt sorry. But, when I was done the engine was as good as new!
