I got just a 5.5 KW for the house. Like your Honda, but 240 volt. It cost somewhere around $900. I rigged it up to run whats on the power pole., old cabin, well, and barn. I also had some cables made up, enough to run the fridge, freezers, and of course the TV in the house. I run this without any problems. I'm thinking a pto generator could get very spendy, and a tractor would run alot more fuel than a 10 hp motor.
