AV actually has larger front tires and taller spindles too, but that has nothing to do with pulling power. I have a 1946 A that runs really good, good power and all that good stuff and I can easily power it out in 1st gear. I think in a tractor with only maybe 15 to 18 horsepower, traction isn't much of a problem. BTW my A has no fluid and only one cast weight on each side, 50% tread on the tires. It will kill the engine in first in loose soil. Steven
