How do you time a 460?

The 460 gas we've been working on won't start and I think it's the timing (everything else seem okay). I roughly timed it off TDC and tried playing around with the distributor while cranking it over but still nothing. There seems to be a pointer by the front pulley but no timing marks that we can see.
