This might be a little off, but have you lubed the clutch relesae bearing retainer? You have to take the clutch housing dust cover off to get to it, and give it 2 or 3 strokes. The manual says to do it every 120 hours, but I'd bet few tractors get it that often, especially since it is hidden.
