Over the past year, it has been a real blessing for me to participate in and/or observe the posts on the various boards of YTMag. There is an enormous amount of collective knowledge available here for the asking. Likewise, there is more than an adequate amount of fussing and derogatory posting that takes place. (I am not sure about the spelling of "derogatory", but you all know what I am on about.) I guess the purpose of my post concerns the previous posting about "don't deal with LES". Now I assure you, I have NO IDEA who the Les is under question. But some of the remarks, as others I have seen, were pretty inflamitory. There was actually one post speculating on the possibility of Kim pulling the plug on YTMag, possibly due to all of the bickering. We can all be rest-assured, that not matter what happens, some people will continue to argue and make little of one-another. What we CAN DO to help insure this site remains viable to Kim, is go to the lower left-hand column, click on "Support YTMag" and pay our dues. I did this a few months ago. I think that was the first time I have ever donated to support a web site. However, this is undoubtably the most useful site I have ever been a part of. Just look about YTMag. This is not some shoddy place, quickly thrown together. I would rate this site in the top 5% of all professionally done web sites on the internet. And let me tell you something else most of you already know, this level of excellence does not come cheap. So lets all pay our dues and help Kim keep this site the top-notch place we have all come to appreciate. If the bickering gets too bad, maybe we should become a members only posting forum. I'll bet a lot of the "undesirables" would fall by the wayside if they have to shell out a nickel to spout off! Just my 2 cents worth. What does the rest of the community think? Most judgements on what should be purchased rather than fabricated stem from: Originality - If the tractor restoration is to be 100% original, it is likely that you should spend the time and money to locate the component in the used or New-old-stock market. Since this can be extremely difficult, you may want to fabricate the item or purchase a modern replacement temporarily, but eventually, you s
