Farmall or for that matter any other as an investment???? My son loves history and has numerous tractor books such as books by Wendell, etc. He also has a few toys. (1/16 that is) He will get on a tractor to plow, disk, etc., but he is never around when it comes time to work on them. I have 2 partially restored tractors I assume will be sold when I am gone. The books and toys don't take much space, or leak much oil on floor, etc. I just moved 1350 miles and tractors came with me, no question. Todays young generation are very mobile, will move books and toys, but not the real thing when they move across country. My children also refer to my activity on this an other forums as ," YOU AND YOUR OLD CRONIES". Well, I am only 59, got involved on a post one night awhile back, guys were giving age. I didn't want to be the oldest guy in discussion, so I waited for someone older to post. I waited 24 hours for that. When that discussion ended 60 some guys had responeded. I was still in the 15% oldest group. OLD CRONIES, I question that. I call us a group of gentlemen, young at heart. As for my tractors we will see, may buy a total of 5, no more. You will have to check in 40 years to see if there still around.

To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
