The early F-20 and F-30s had an all cast iron steering wheel. It sounds like you might also have
the "duckbill" steering gear housing. That would make it an early tractor. Check the post below
about the clutch housing bolts. Also while you are in that area, look on the top of the left frame rail. The serial # should be stamped there near the clutch housing.
