The other day you responded to advise on a 706 gas rebuild. You mentioned something about using 93 octane gas. I have discovered my 706 is approx. midway between rebuids and the problem was that a ring has broken. Question: What is the cause of a ring breaking? I use the machine for a bucket tractor and for snow blowing. Its not like it gets worked real hard. Also, Should I rebuild the machine or just install new rings. What is the tolerance for using the same sleeves and bearings?
