been lookin on the web at new tractors of all different kinds. wow that is a lot of money! noticed most have offer a "cold weather prep" option. this package includes heaters for the trans/hyd pump inlets. would something like this be feasable to put on a 1256 for example? i personally think that having the warmer hytran would prolong the life of the pump. agree, disagree? best way other than that i know of (when you have to be out there) is a heated shed,or use as simple of a tractor as possible in the cold (ie gas, 100% mechanical tranny such as a 400) another thought is adding mfwa to the 1256, i know it's designed for it. finding the parts necessary would be tough, i'd love to have the resources ($) to experiment with that though, would like to try more modern fwa axle with original type transfer case.
