All of your thoughts on the additional cylinder and orifice are correct. However if you add a second cylinder you may have more force than the 3pt adapter, and tractor is designed for. An adjustable orifice or flow control would probably be best, you need one that meters in both directions. There are a number of flow controls available that would do the job. Hope this helps Tom R.
