706 Tranny Noise

I was running the Brush hog the other day with our IH706. When I got into the heavy dead reeds around the pond I felt a bad ratcheting at my feet and the sound wasn't good. The PTO didn't seem to slow up at all. I continued and it happened again when I was making a turn and hitting heavy material again. Any Ideas? I think there might be a problem in the Tranny.
