I wonder if this isn't pto drive shaft vibration from your mower. Have heard similar noises out of our 706 we used to have when pulling a 4 row stalk shredder years ago, also when pulling the 10 foot bush hog pull type mower. When you mention the vibration more noticable in a turn it makes me think maybe the drive line is the problem, the 706 was a tough old tractor and I doubt anything is wrong internally.
