I just put a new dist. on my H last week. Farmer bob is correct on everything. Looking in my I-T service manual it says that the ignition timing marks can be viewed through a hand hole in the botton of the clutch housing. #1 piston is in top dead center when mark DC/1/4 or dot mark is in register with the indicator on the clutch housing cover.
