Brian: Your valve stem is two piece, stem with valve, screws into base attached to tube. If this has been weeping all those ten years you will probably have to put an entire stem on the tube. They go on just like a patch or replace the tube. New tube aprox. $25. If I were you I would get rid of that calcium chloride unless you are going to do some heavy pulling. If tractor has been sitting ten years put in new plugs and points. Is this tractor by any chance magneto? Sounds as though your timing may be off a bit to. I always time my tractors by sound. Just get tractor running at idle and move it from one extreem to the other. You will soon be able to tell by sound where right point is. If these tractors are off by much they wont start. Hugh
