Thank you for that one, I had not heard. My Farmall Super A is working with that same Delco alternator on 6 volts. All you have to do is change a wire in alternator and you have a 6 volt alternator. My Super A will quite often excite on it's own at full throttle. In case it doesn't I have a wire running to a push button starter type switch to excite. I use the push button switch so it wont get left on. I like that setup a lot better than my 130 on 12 volts. I just wired my 130 as per Bob Melville's two wire diagram with light and resistor. I do find with this setup that if you happen to start tractor for say less than a minute and want to stop when tractor is charging heavy, alternator will keep it running. Not a big problem as that situation does not exist often, and I don't like doing it ever. If I am going to start my tractor I like to warm it up good.
