Luke, Sounds like it is time to do some repair work on you bolster. Take the cover off the steering pot in front of the radiator. Work the steering shaft back & forth. Check for play between the worm gear & sector gear. If there is remove the sector gear and turn the steering shaft 1/2 turn. If the sector gear is a full gear then turn it 1/4 turn, replace and recheck. If sector gear moves laterally you will need to replace the bushing underneath it. To do this, jack up front end and remove the pedastal ( besure to block well). Then remove the shaft from the bolster. While you've got it apart also replace the bottom bushing, thrust bearing oil seals & felt washers. You also might want to replace the bushing and oil seal behind the worm gear while you're at it. Your local CNH dealer sould be able to get you all the parts. As for the behlen seals. Have your CNH dealer check under power steering for a 300 or 400. They used the behlen p.s. unit. My dealer was able to get me the seals. Good luck boog
