Been a Ford man for awhile after restoring a 40 9N and 56 850, but wife and I decided (my idea) we needed a mower for our growing yard. We keep clearing and stuumoping and seeding and our push mower would keep my busy for days. Rather the average Sears riding mower or similar, I said "dang it, if I am going to cut grass, then I am going to cut grass and do it on an antique Farmall Cub or A." So, we 'got' one coming from an industrious young man (17 years old) who restored a 41 A and it's arriving from Buffalo to northern New Hampshire Thursday or Friday. So, in three years time I went from tracotrless to three tractor, and I'm going to cut grass. Hated it growing up, vowed I would never own a home with a yard to mow, and now I'll be perched on a Farmall A smelling the sweet morning dew, freshly cut grass, and taking in the mountains and river. Neighbors must think I'm nuts, but you know what, I might as well go out cutting grass with a smaile on my face. tom p.s. Anyone provide a recommendation for a good used belly mower? I think I need one now if I am going to cut grass.
