I find myself in same position as you, oh I already have the tractor, two of them. I have looked at a number of possibilities, it looks to me like Woods is the way to go. I personally would like a shaft drive and gear up a foreward pto shaft between final drives. it could be belt driven from pto and left on tractor premenantly. I just think the shaft drive would be quicker to take on and off tractor. No lining up belts. I also have another problem, Fast Hitch. Don't want to take Fast Hitch off tractor even though I have a standard drawbar in shed. Problem with most of the shaft drive mowers I've seen is they require 2000+ rpm. My question does anyone build a kit to remove belt pully and put on a straight pto shaft on that upper shaft which would be similar to crankshaft speed. Am I right? Would someone correct me on that if wrong.
