farmall 460 hydro pump drive

the gear in the clutch housing that drives the hydro pump broke the washer that holds it in place letting gear flop around i didnt think their was any back and forth motion of this gear any reasons why it would brake this washer would be a help also what else does this shaft drive i thought just hydro pump and live pto thans
