Gee Bob, you live in east Texas,. I've felt that was one of the best places to find inexpensive tractors. It's always better to buy one close to home.
I know how you feel I've seen some great tractors go for dirt cheap but when I factored in the hauling costs, it just didn't make enough sense to try to buy them.
The hauling costs will be around $1.00 per mile and up for a decent hauler.
Look for a hauler that needs to fill a partial load that is going your way it may bring down the cost some.
