While I have never done what I suggested in my earlier post to a 1066, I have had the entire front end (axel, bolster, rad and engine) of tractors as large as 560 or 656 on a pallet in changing a clutch. I have even wheeled the front end of 300 to other side of shop and went back for the torque tube with another pallet. I know a guy, used to work for IH dealer as a mechanic in 70s. He has his own shop now and indeed probably was partly responsible for putting IH dealer out of business. He has a steel pallet with an steel upright end that he can chain tractor single or dual wheel to. Other side of tractor has to be up level with side on pallet. He wheels the entire unit (wheel, axel and housing) to his chain lift and hooks to axel housing. He tells me he can cut the time in half on any wheel bearing change and he said,"my customers dont have to spend two days getting their wheels torqued tight again." Pallet jack like a transmission jack, gives you very precise controll when putting it all back together again. Most pallet jacks have a 5-6000 lb capacity, so weight of 1066 components are no problem.
