better check your regulator tractor is supposed to be positive gnd it will usually say which gnd the reg wants to be then polarize the gen by momentary touching a lead from the ARM post on the gen to the BATT term on the reg hope you didnt shell out the reg by running the neg gnd but you probably did after you get it running again and if it doesent charge ground the field term on the reg and then if that makes it charge the reg would be bad if it doesent charge then the gen is bad lots of people make the gnd wrong when changing batts as they just dont understand then get carried away and go to 12v so they can spend more money
