Last nite I happened to be setting valves myself.This happened to be a 34 Chev truck,but before I did them I talked to a local mechanic and he said a good rule of the thumb is to set them .002 over the hot setting,run the engine and recheck.Yeah,I know it's a truck but this mechanic says it is good for any engine.My 2c.
