$172 is a lot of money to me too buddy but here is a something to think about. 1. 2002 - 1941= 61 years old 2. Same part made of PROPER material and HARDENED from a machine shop would be 2 times the money, at least. 3. C IH is supporting 61 year old equipment that they don't have to support. I am glad C IH supports antiques and saves people money over custom made. I run a machine shop and mess around with old tractors too. I get lots of requests to make or repair parts that are "ridiculously" priced at dealers. Most of the time I tell them that I don’t have time instead of telling them the truth that my part would be higher priced. That way I am not labeled a rip off artist too. Sorry for venting gentleman
