I like the creeper idea, I'll have to try it. I have made a heavy duty creeper for things like this, out of a small chunk of 3/4 inch plywood and four heavy duty casters, the whole thing costed under $20. Boy does it come in handy for putting on the corn picker subframe! But if you had a creeper like this, and used a jack to get the axle just the right hieght, then it should be able to slide right together.
