I am having a dickens of a time with the right rear wheel

I am 64 years old and I am wrestling a weighted rear wheel onto the axle and boy oh boy am I having a hard time of it. Just what is the secret to lifting the rear of the A without tipping it over, then aligning the bolts to thread into the axle!? and sliding the wheel inplace aligning those bolts? Should I take off the wheel weight, and install that alone, then install the rim? oh brother, doing this alone is one tough bean and no one's around to help since the boys moved away and the wife is out of town. Where do I place the jack to lift it without tipping it? on the left rear axle? oh brother.
