You can remove axle out with out removing axle housing put cap screw back in axle without washer get short piece of shaft and put between cap screws of axle and screw cap screw out of axle you want to remove that will bush axle out of inner bearing and bush outside bearing out of housing then if you need to remove inner bearing slide bull gear over to other side and you can get at inner bearing.
