Although the battery is now very weak, I was able to pull plug 1 and jump it to the frame and saw a blue spark arc. I double checked the order and plug wires. they were correct. In clockwise order 1 is on upper right. 3 below that (lower right), 4 lower left, and 2 upper left. So, now I know I have spark. But it won't catch. It could be fuel delivery, or too weak battery.?? This leads me to my first questions: will a weak battery not produce enough voltage for the magneto and points? And what is it or inside a magneto that sends enough volts to the spark plugs? I am familiar with coil, voltage regulators, and distributors but not magnetos. I appreciate your helps but I need your helps some more. JP
