I shut my tractor down for a week, and when I shut it down it ran ok although the battery was losing some juice because my charging system isn't up to par. This afternoon I went to start it up, and it turned over but I ran the battery down and it would not catch although for the first few cranks they were strong. Where should I start? I disconnected the cap wires but reinstalled them to go to 1the correct firing order 1342. But I am not sure if the order is right. Going counterclockwise on the cap the wires are 1,2,3,4. ? Is that correct? What else? Would a weak 6V batter not send enough current to the points? I am not familiar with magnetos. What is in a magneto that serves as a coil would do? I can't get at the points yet to see if they need a slight cleaning, but I may give that a try. Your help is needed and appreciated. JP
