take the grounding wire off the mag remove #1 plug get it on top dead center look in the hole and you can see when it is at the top and on COMPRESSION now take off the cap to check to make sure the rotor is lined up with #1 plug wire on the cap it ran when you shut it down and now might have got something out after replacing stuff is the spring in the center of the cap that makes contac with rotor might have lost the carbon spring loaded center when you removed the cap if all these things are correct you should have spark to the plugs like i said it ran till you shut it off and painted now you have changed things and might have got the spark out of synk with the cap also make sure #1 goes to the front cycl and so forth
