Question for anybody who knows serial no. info

Ive got 2 Ms,one working and one restored.The restored M is serial no. 33630 which is a 1941.Casting codes are for 1941.Some dated july 22,some July 23,and some the 24th.Figured this is not unusual.The working Ms serial no. plate is missing but the casting codes are for 41 also,some July 27,28,and29.Once again I figure this is not unusual.So now to my question,Were the Farmalls assigned a serial no. on the assembly line or shortly thereafter,or were they added at a later time,as in days or weeks.What I am trying to do is see just how close the serial no. is on my working M just in case I ever sell it or if I decide to restore it.
