well...on our 400, i tried the seasonal disconnect after reading this thread, and then tried to hand crank it..much easier than before (could not be turned by hand previously), but still wouldn't want to start it that way! guess i got some bands to adjust. right in time to coincide with my planned 12v conversion. (since the current battery and dozens of previous froze because the regulator is a hunk of junk) glad someone else's problem led to a solution for me :) -karl
