Gill, Have you tried adjusting the low and high speed adjustments on the carb? Look at the spark plugs to see if they can tell you anything. With unleaded gas they should look gray to charcoal, not black or oily. Check for water in the fuel. As a last resort, check the valve lash and the timing with a timing light. If the timing isn't steady, your distributor shaft bushings may be worn. Check them for side play, and replace the rotor (you didn't mention changing that) while you're at it. One more thing, check the battery. A weak battery can drag down the electrical system and cause a weak spark. Let us know what you find, Phil
