Check on the engine just above the dist/mag in the area of the #1 cylinder for a flat place on the block with letters and numbers stamped into the block. It could be that they are painted over to the point that you will have to scrape the paint off. Don't get to strong when doing the scraping as the letters and numbers might not be stamped in very deep. There will be four letters starting with the letter "F" then two more letters and then the letter "M" followed by numbers.
