This isn't addressed so much to you Scotty as to the issue of grade 5 and 8 bolts in general. I just wanted to add that I would be mighty slow to make use of one of those grade 8 bolts unless there was some particular spec calling for it. If you use either grade, do yourself a favor and use some anti-thread seizing compound. I've seen more than one person regret that they were ever used when they encountered difficulty in removing one that had been frozen in place or had the head stripped. Drilling them out is nearly an impossible task.
