Hi Paul! Looks like you found the problem alright - your photo shows the leak area quite graphically... One suggestion: When you put everything back together leave the oil pan off for the moment. Fill the cooling system with water. Get an old radiator cap and use solder or JB Weld to mount a suitable fitting (Schraeder valve or air line quick connect) thru the cap. Or borrow a test cap from your neighborhood garage. Use this cap to carefully pressurize the cooling system to 7 or 8 psi - but no higher! - with shop air. Now knock off and go have a piece of pie or a beer or something. When you're done with, that peer up inside the crankcase to see there's any sign of water leakage. If not, let the the pressure off off the cooling system, install the pan, fill her with oil and go tractoring!! ...Bob M
