I agree with you in general, but have a couple of comments.

1. In part, it's supply and demand. Parts they can sell to the tune of 5000 a week are gonna be a lot cheaper than if they sell 500 a year. Pilot bearings for a 50 year old tractor are not a high demand item.

2. You think Case-IH parts are expensive? Go buy some John Deere parts!
